The Woman Of Imperium Africa Foundation, in partnership with Afra K Fashion School, is pleased to introduce the WIAfrica × Afra K Bridge to Imperium Scholarship Program.
This scholarship initiative is designed to support and empower passionate, creative and determined individuals who are interested in building a future in fashion and vocational skills development, but may require financial assistance to begin or continue their journey.
Purpose & Objective
This scholarship exists to:
- Remove financial barriers that prevent talented women and youth from accessing quality fashion education
- Build economic independence through creative and vocational skills development
- Position fashion as a serious, viable, and dignified career pathway
- Advance WIAfrica’s mission of empowering individuals through education, skills, and opportunity

Who Can Apply
- Women and young individuals (18 to 30 years)
- Applicants from financially disadvantaged or underserved backgrounds
- Individuals with a genuine interest in fashion, design, or textile entrepreneurship
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must first apply to Afra K Fashion School to gain admission — the Afra K student number issued upon registration is required to complete this scholarship application
- Be between 18 and 30 years of age at the time of application
- Demonstrate financial need through a personal statement or supporting documentation
- Show genuine passion or prior interest in fashion, design, or creative arts
- Be available to commit to the full programme schedule at Afra K Fashion School
- Not currently be the recipient of another full fashion scholarship
Application Process
- Complete the online application form by clicking the Apply button below
- Submit a personal statement (200–300 words) describing your background, your passion for fashion, and how this scholarship will impact your life
- Provide proof of financial need (e.g., income statement, community leader’s letter, or equivalent documentation)
- Submit one form of identification (e.g., Ghana Card or Voters ID)
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a brief interview
